Hello Helmer’s St Baptist Church,
My name is Jeffrey Adams, the son of Judith Duckett, the daughter of Rev. Emmett and Hazel Duckett, brother of Rev. John Duckett. I found a old photo of my uncle John and his son Paul. I was thinking that you might like to have a copy of it in your archives. The poster shows Uncle John as an evangelist for Rev. Paul Duckett’s church, Memorial Baptist, Ft. Worth.
My mother has survived three husbands and is now in an assisted living facility, Village on the Park, Steeplechase. My brother Randy and I, with our wives, are doing the best we can to take care of her.

I was invited to your church when I was 11 years old, in 1983 by a gentleman who was driving the bus in my neighborhood. He knocked on my door and introduced himself to my parents. His name was John Cunningham. He told my parents he was going to be driving that bus on Sundays picking up kids from the neighborhood to attend church and if they would let me go and my parents said yes! I know I’ve been go back to sleep before and because John took the time to witness to us, the first time in my life, I gave my life to the Lord!! I’m 48 years old now and I rededicated my life to Christ 10 years ago it couldn’t be better! I have no doubt that I rededicated my life because of the seeds mr. John planted in me way back in the eighties and I just wanted to thank him. If there’s any way for you to reach him please let him know that’s a youngboy from the Barrio appreciates his efforts way back in the day! God bless
