Pastor Jacob Mendoza holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Biblical Studies from Pioneer Baptist Bible College and a three year certificate from Faith Bible Institute. Following his college graduation, he served as youth pastor at Lighthouse Baptist Church in Tomball, Tx. Pastor Jacob was born and raised in North Houston, and moved his family to the Northside area in 2014, to serve as the pastor of Helmers Street Baptist Church. HSBC was founded in 1949, in the heart of Houston, by Brother John Duckett.
Pastor Jacob and his wife Elizabeth have one child, Sarah. He has a tremendous burden for the Houston Community, an area with a population of almost three million people, and that has very few independent, soul-winning Baptist churches.
