Helmers St. Baptist Church is excited and grateful to be able to partner with many faithful servants and ministries in taking the gospel of Jesus Christ around the world.

Currently on deputation, they plan to leave for the Dominican Republic in April to work in the schools there. Read their November 2014 prayer letter to know how to pray for them.

Missionaries Ted and Karin Johnson were with us last week for a good time of Christian fellowship. Karin was saved and grew up at Helmers Street, and quite a few people came to see them. It was a good time of reunion. We also heard many stories confirming God’s care for them as they ministered in Mexico for many years. Pray for them as they plan a fruitful work among the Spanish-speaking people of Big Spring, Texas. Here is their prayer letter from June, 2014.

Flo Martin serves in Cantel, Quetzaltenango, Guatemala.  In light of all the news about Guatemala and the United States, this would be an especially good time to pray for her and her ministry. Here is her latest prayer letter. Below is a map of Cantel, a village of over 32,000 people, east of Quetzaltenango. If you click through to Google, the  photos under the map will show you a beautifully forested mountainous area with many souls living there.
