By grace, through faith

“For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God.” Ephesians 2:8.

Two of the most common words in Christianity. Grace and faith. It’s only by God’s grace that we can be saved. He asks only that we put our faith in him. There is nothing we can do to deserve to be saved. There is no way we can earn it. It is a gift, to be received only by trusting (that’s faith) in his grace.

None other name

“Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.” Acts 4:12

There are so many ideas as to how to get to heaven. But the original words of God from the Bible are still true. There is only one name, only one person who can save us, and he is the Lord Jesus Christ, the perfect, spotless Lamb of God, who took on himself all our sins, and offers us freely eternal life. Will you believe and be saved today?

He Rose Again

“Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; and that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures.” 1 Corinthians 15:3b-4.

The fact that Jesus rose bodily from the grave is not so hard to believe. He who made the world and everything in it could defeat death and come out of the grave. And he did it for our sins. Not his, but ours. Yours. Mine. He died, was buried, and rose again, and lives forever. Because he lives, we can have eternal life!
