Pastor Jacob Mendoza has a Bachelor’s Degree in Biblical Studies. Following his college graduation, he married Elizabeth Morrison and began a youth pastorate position in 2011 at Lighthouse Baptist Church, Tomball. In 2014, Pastor Jacob moved his family to North Houston where he was born and raised. Helmers Street Baptist Church was founded in 1949 in the heart of Houston Texas.

Pastor Jacob and his wife Elizabeth have one child: Sarah. He has a tremendous burden for the Houston Community, an area with a population of almost three million people which presently has very few independent, soul-winning Baptist churches.
